Description

In this session we will look at how iPad can support all learners by exploring the built-in accessibility features. We will explore the key tools that can be used to support the needs of many learners in school, through to some specific SEN support features, along with real world examples of how, and when we might use these features.

David has over 20 years of experience in education including 9 as a Headteacher. As an Apple Professional Learning Specialist he works with schools across the UK to help them unlock the power and potential of technology to support high quality teaching, learning and outcomes for students. Maximising SEND support with Apple Accessibility

14:00 – SEND Theatre

Description

This session will explore the ways in which Apple’s Accessibility features can be applied in the classroom to support a wide range of SEND types to offer students greater support and independence in the classroom. Throughout the session, Accessibility features will be demonstrated and a range of examples given to how they can be applied to effectively remove barriers for SEND pupils. This session is aimed at teachers, leaders and technical staff who want to know more about the powerful opportunities and support that Apple’s accessibility tools offer. The session promises to give staff simple and practical approaches to supporting SEND which they can apply immediately back in school.
