Inspire students to make music like a pro
Description
This session will explore the Mac platform for music composition and editing using industry leading hardware and software that are perfect for schools. We will start with a blank project and produce a piece of music within the session using GarageBand, including a dive into the software instruments, recording and editing tools, as well as mixing.Â
Suitable for key stage 3/4 teachers looking to use GarageBand and explore the latest ways of capturing, recording and mixing music.

Bring coding to life with iPad and LEGO
Description
Bringing coding to life with hardware is an exciting option in the classroom. iPad and LEGO make this a reality with some great learning experiences. This session will explore the new LEGO SPIKE Essential resource and will include building physical models coding them with iPad using ‘icon blocks’ and ‘word blocks’. You will see the progression of coding and computational thinking as children progress from KS1 to KS2.Â
We can develop the knowledge of the learners to include elements of Design Technology, and then re-code the models to meet the needs of the challenge.Â
