Albion in association with Surbiton High School and Apple are delighted to invite you to the launch event of United Learning’s southern Regional Training Centre.
Surbiton have successfully launched the use of iPads for all students in years seven and twelve this year, the culmination of extensive planning and the realisation of a forward thinking vision for how technology can be used in school.
At this event you will be able to hear from José Picardo, the leader of the scheme, from various members of Surbiton school staff, who have been at the cutting edge of iPad use within the school, and from Kate Cheal, an expert in ‘anytime, anywhere learning.’

Speaker Biographies
José Picardo is As Assistant Principal at Surbiton High School. His role is to provide leadership in the development of the school’s digital strategy, ensuring the integration of technologies that enable and facilitate teaching and learning into the life of the school and its wider community.
Kate Cheal has worked as a secondary teacher and Head of Music for 14 years, she is also an Apple Distinguished Educator, an Apple Professional Development Authorised Trainer and a Google Certified Teacher. Kate is constantly searching for innovative ways to use online and mobile tools to facilitate ‘anytime, anywhere learning’ and to create a culture of collaborative, connected education.
