Creativity on the Mac

As Mac has become more accessible to everyone, it has retained its creative edge in the world of media.

With in-built tools, Mac enables students to express themselves through music, video and photography, giving them the programmes they need to create projects and present their work uniquely.

And, with easy-to-use applications, teachers can easily integrate the software into their lectures for more engaging lessons.

Making Music on a Mac

Encouraging students to realise their potential in the creative arts is an important one.

Mac gives teachers and students a way to do that, with technology that will unleash the talent of aspiring singer, songwriters, producers and composers.

Albion’s music technology experts have over 20 years experience implementing music technology suites in schools and further education colleges, and can offer you clear, friendly advice on setting up your Music suites, recording studios, audio and MIDI interfaces.

You can either attend a workshop, or our trainers can visit your school or college and show you how to record with GarageBand: Mac’s free music-making package with hundreds of instruments and loops.

Garageband is an ideal starting point for Key Stage 3 AND 4 students. It can teach your talented musicians to organise their music, create playlists, burn CDs and publish the music they make. Your pupils will be able to share their masterpieces with the world, creating podcasts, school broadcasts, and interviews.

For more advanced students studying media, we can also offer advice and hardware for higher-level production tools such as Logic or Pro Tools.

Editing Video on a Mac

Creating a video on the Mac couldn’t be easier with iMovie. Your students will be able to bring presentations and course projects to life, and create films and broadcasts easily.

Whether you want to use photos, music and film in your lectures, or you want to nurture the producers of tomorrow in your classroom, Mac gives you the tools to do it.

Now, students can take advantage of a high-performance editing feature for even faster, more secure and reliable video production with Apple Media Server.
