The Albion Mail hosted service was trialed and then implemented for over 70 users - it provided anywhere anytime access from desktop, laptop, mobile, PDA or other web enabled devices. All the users and domains were migrated across with no loss of mail and there was no disruption for the users as it worked immediately within their normal outlook environment. Full remote administration was provided to the client's administration manager. All this has been provided for a small monthly rental fee with no capital outlay necessary.

The technical challenge here was that the company was spread over several different sites. The need was to provide a system for both voice and data that would enable completely transparent communications between all the company's staff regardless of which location they were in.

A complete IT review was carried out at the start of the project ensuring that all aspects of the companies voice and data requirements were clearly identified and taken into account when specifying the system requirements. Albion were uniquely placed in having the skills and product set to provide a complete end to end solution for the companies computer and communications requirements. The first phase used the Albion.net DSL network to establish a reliable and fast IP network that would allow secure communications between all the locations and also to the Internet. The second phase was to install Albion IP telephony across all sites. This enabled all calls to be routed free of charge between the different locations using Voice Over IP, allowing incoming calls to be transparently routed to any branch and outbound calls to be routed via the internet to achieve the lowest call charges.
